Filter system

Caring for our personnel has always been of high importance at Kurt Prinzing GmbH. In August 2008, a filter system for air pollution prevention and heat recovery (KAPPA) was installed in the distillery hall and the welding shop. In contrast to traditional ventilation systems in production halls this system is very beneficial for the working conditions and the health of our staff members.

Submerged arc welding of thick-walled components

Since August 2009, we have been operating a new welding automation system (year of construction: 2009) to take advantage of fully automatic welding. The main advantage is a high degree of mechanization, which allows multilayer welding to be performed with little or no intervention from the operator. Perfect welding is extremely important, in particular when extraordinary quality levels are required e.g. for thick-walled parts. With the new fully automatic narrow-gap welding system, which is used for the multilayer welding of longitudinal and circular seams, the complete welding process can be conducted with the highest degrees of accuracy and repeatability. Thus, our new system is especially suitable for mass production, such as the production of tubes.

600 T CNC press break, year of construction: 2009

High performance requires sophisticated technology. Our new 600 T CNC press break by GWF MENGELE can be used for sheet thicknesses of up to 3,000 mm and bending lengths of up to 4,000 mm.
